Motorola Mobility has revealed that the overall revenue is topped at $3.44 billion in the fourth quarter whereas; a year before, the company was covered $3.43 billion. So, full year revenue is topped at $13 billion which is an increased amount from the $11.5 billion as of 2010, with a loss of $249 million and up from $86 million that was recorded in 2010.
What is more interesting is that Motorola had enjoyed the success along with mobile shipments. It has shipped total 42.4 million mobile devices year round, an up from 37.3 million as of 2010. This figure also includes the smartphones which have been shipped in total 18.7 million. However, the company has shipped a million units of Motorola Xoom and Xyboard tablets.
Apart from what the company has gained and shipped, it has been recorded that since last year (August) Google is showing more interest in buying this company for $12.5 billion. However, this deal is still pending for the regulatory approval. As of Motorola, it expects the deal to be closed somewhat in the early 2012 once all the conditions have been satisfied. While concerning on this, it has warned the stockholders in advance that the deal could collapse ahead if the acquisition is not done in the coming future.
